A gigantic figure clad in an asbestos suit could be seen stepping from a flaming pit, which symbolized man's ability to control heat and protect himself from fire through the use of the "magic mineral" asbestos.

Other exhibits showed how Johns-Manville had transformed four of nature's minerals–asbestos, diatomaceous earth, limestone and asphalt into useful products for the home and industry.
