Using glass, aluminum and lucite, artists created a symbolic picture of "Chemicals and Plastics." A simple atom represented Chemistry and the solar spectrum was the symbol of the elements from which plastic materials were made.

The new plastics industry participants in the Hall were the Bakelite Corporation, Rohm and Haas Company and the Texas Gulf Sulphur Company.
