House # 5 - Small House of Brick
This house-"The House of the Sheltered Workshops"-was designed for simplified living for the family with a limited budget for their home. It is a house in which the wife does all her own housework and the husband keeps the exterior tidy and in repair in his leisure time.

House # 5 - Small House of Brick
The exterior is of brick and all rooms are larger than the minimum standard required by FHA and lending institutions.
A large utility closet is placed on the exterior for the storage of washing machine, lawn mower and other utility equipment. The plan is a simple one, yet very compact. The kitchen not only contains cooking and food storage equipment but also has facilities for heating and contains a dining niche. Well placed windows assure plentiful sunlight and adequate ventilation.
